I have a commodore VT 2000 model which has only done around 103,450 kms. The car is in great condition and has been serviced every 10000kms. I recently took it to a mechanic for a service and when I returned to pick up the vehicle he told me that the Airbag warning light was coming on. This has never happened before and it makes a warning sound which is hard to ignore which I most certainly would have noticed. I asked him if he may have done anything which triggered it and he said "no". Is this just a built in feature that after the clock is reset after 100 000 km service or should I ask him to fix the problem. Thanks, Dany

Hi Dany.
The airbag warning light and chime should not come on after reseting the service indicator.
Did he do a wheel alignment during the service.

My VT has done it 2times in 3 years for no reason. There was a fault with seat belt pre-tensioners in VT's and was told not to store melways/sydways or any other stuff between the seats. Mine had history codes stored and had to clear it with the Tech2 w

Hi raistlin.
It's a common issue on air-bag cars to damage the 'clock-spring' in the steering column when the steering is hit hard against the steering stops with no load, as is common by opperators of wheel alignment machines. I've seen this more that |
