Hi, Do I need to run a spacer or adaptor to run a square bore carby on a holden torker manifold. dose the centre of the carby, holley or edelbrock performer, have to be covered to get corect vacuum operation. Cheers Craig

craig, give some details on cam, heads,carb to be used etc.i may be of some help but please give as much info as you can. cheers dave.

Hi Dave, The motor is a 308 bored 60 thou, L34 heads roller rockers solid cam not sure of grind, not to lumpy, running a 600 double pumper on torker manifold. It was backfiring through the carby if you reved quikly. when I got the car the holly had only

craig, do your self a quick tappet set,say .018in/.020ex,then check timing,try not to have too quick advance of idle,may need slightly heavier advance springs,check then it dosent dump too much fuel straight off idle.this style of manifold needs a divider

I have a 308 , bored 40 thou Rolla rockers , not to lumpy cam , Edelbrock torker manifold , Flat top racing pistons etc. Similar to you . I can give you some advice on my personal experience . Get rid of the 600 double pumper ,I tried a br
