Hi! Im wandering if anyone has ever put a 308 in a merc & if its legal in QLD? There is a Grandma car on ebay that would be supr kewl with a 308.

I knew of a late 70`s merc with a ford 250 motor in it.

There used to be Merc limo's in Sydney that had the original V8's removed and Chevs or Stroker 308's installed. The complete conversion was apparantly cheaper than a dizzy rebuild! And more reliable to boot.

Hi Guys.

I know I'm stealing the thread, but.

I must be showing my age when somebody says 'Merc' I instantly think Mercury (not Mercedes Benz). Mercury is a division of Ford in the US, that was once the premium or performance branch. A Mercury Coug

Ever since I can remember a Merc was a Mercedes. I reckon i've only ever seen one or two Mercury's in my life.
