Just read about the results to AC Nielsen's usually secret vehicle reliability study:

Holden and Ford did the worst, but it's important to realize that the differences aren't large. "The worst" means that half of all owners have at least one problem in the first five months. Which means that half have no problems.

Feel that Australian car buyers should have access to reliability info? Help provide it:

I'm focused on the North American market, but if 25 owners of an Austrialian-market model sign up and participate, I'll post the results.

This is a debate that has been going for years. At the end of the day, the problem with these kind of surveys is that they can be biased against makes like Ford and Holden because of the type of person that buys the cars and the way in which the cars are

"Reliability" to me also includes cost of and ease of getting parts. Try buying a brand new front bar for a merc for $270. Or an oil filter from K-mart for $7

There was a show on TV last week about the late model jeep grand cherokkee going up in flames, an internet site that has people complaining about failures of their new cars showed on this world web site that from all car makers the top 2 cars complained a

Wow, what an overwhelmingly accurate study.....NOT!

All cars are susceptible to faults. Our company went over to Toyota, because of the reliability record (we suffered a few really bad AUs).

I've had a V6 camry for 30K now, and it's had 2 faults -
