Hi there, The temp gauge contantly wanders up and down from the M to the L in the normal range.

I have tried different after market models of thermostats and then tried a geniune one but no difference. They all operate the same.

I spoke with a guy at a ford dealer and he said that it should eventually settle down but this ain't happening and its been like this for nearly a year.

Another person suggested drilling a 3mm hole in the thermostat. I tried this with varying hole sizes but all it does is vary the time it takes to heat up and then it still wanders.

One thing I have noticed is that the fan comes on early at a low speed. I'm wondering if the fan is staying on too much and keeping the fluid in the radiator too cold. Then every time it opens it get cold fluid. Not sure it this is the issue though. Just seems like it comes on early. It may not be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
