got a hx 173 with the polution gear on it. It is running like a pig at the moment. It struggles to start, and spits and splatters. once she is on the freeway, it goes ok.
Whats the fix for it.

Check fuel filters, plugs, timing & capacitor to start with. It'll be a process of elimination making sure it's getting the right fuel air & spark at idle. Could be an incorrect float level or blocked idle cicuit in the carby too....?
