Hello all,
my series one VP is leaking fuel whenever the tank is near full. I have replaced the "plastic irrigation pipe" hose that goes from the top of the tank to the top of the filler neck but no better.

I then replaced the bit of pipe that joins the filler to the tank & am certain that this is where the leak is but no amount of fuel proof sealer on this join fixes the problem.

Driving around with the fuel cap not quite tight helps but is not an acceptable long term solution.

The only thing that I can think it could be is that the brand new genuine Holden filler neck pipe was about 9 years old (it was dated) & is almost a hard & stuffed as the original could this be the problem?

I am guessing the only way to accurately diagnose the leak is to pull the whole tank out (again), pressurise it slightly & go over the joints with soapy water to see where the bubbles appear.

It ****s me to tears when the media & state politicians refer to the Federal Government as "Canberra"
