I already have a good facia, but the swirl pattern has worn off in places.
I can recall there being some discussion of a wish list of parts that rares may do in the future & the HQ GTS facia was well requested, but as les has stated, rares don't make one

we can only do the stick on carbon fibre and woodgrain insert for them, so if you are just looking to revamp it then thats all u need to do.

Try and get a Statesman facia in good condition, peel the woodgrain contact off and presto - a fish scale gts facia in need of a paint. Use oven cleaner to get the adhesive off - nothing stronger.
We should start a petition to get someone to get some rep

metho is a better option for removing the glue or acrylic paint from the HQ dashes as it softens the paint but wont soak into the material like the caustic soda, that is used in oven cleaner, the same technique is used in modelling, have soaked a couple o

Hi Guys.

The best stuff for removing old glue & gum etc. is eucalyptus oil. It doesn't affect plastics or anything delicate, but it removes the glue instantly. You can buy it at supermarkets in small bottles & it has a good smell too.

I think that would stop a few buyers, you can pick up complete dash and guages with a good fascia on ebay for 250-350,most just need rechroming which can be done.

And in here lies the problem, to make new ones cost more than second hand ones, but there are not many second hand ones around with uncut fascias, extra holes etc.

So yes there are some good buys out there but there would still be a hundred or so peopl
