G'day, just wondering if any of you guys know how much HORSEPOWER it takes too MAX out a standard CLEVELAND fuel pump in good condition with standard fuel lines.

Also any INFO on setting up a good reliable fuel system on a tight BUDGET(it doesnt have to look pretty)would be much appreciated.

What sort of fuel systems are some of you guys running and what sort of HORSEPOWER are you supporting with your system?

My CAR and ENGINE specs are on MEMBERS RIDES,as I said any helpful INFO would be much appreciated.

P.S. SORRY about the way my MEMBERS RIDES stuff listed but Im still trying too master this computer caper.

400hp roughly. I maxed on out @ 5800rpm. Fuel system and tight budget should never be used in the same sentence I'm affraid. Elec pumps/decent US made mechanicals are expensive. For your setup? I'd go with a Holley blue or the more expensive Mallory 140.

G'day,THANKS XB351 for your input.I was leaning towards a holley blue with a surge tank and bigger fuel lines originally but had come across some negative feedback from an AMERICAN forum about holley blues. It seems these guys were burning the pumps out,al

Holley make a fairly good hi volume mechanical fuel pump that I'm running in mine with no problems. I picked it up for about $110 at rare spares & bolts straight up. The best way to test if you really do need to upgrade your fuel system is to run your car

I've got a holley blue fuel pump and that tends to keep up with my demands of 648HP at 8000rpm
