I HAVE 2 XB COUPE DOORS AND WHERE THE DOOR CATCH ATTACHES TO THE DOORS VIA THE SCREWS THE COUNTERSUNK AREA HAS COME AWAY, NOW I HAVE 3 LARGE HOLES.

MY QUESTION IS CAN THESE BE REPAIRED AND IF SO HOW? ALL OF THE COUNTERSUNKS ARE MISSING AS THIS IS HOW I BOUGHT THE DOORS ALONG TIME AGO.

I WAS ALSO CONSIDERING USING CUP WASHERS, IF ANYONE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND BEEN ABLE TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM PLEASE ADVISE

This happened on a xb coupe I was doing up. I welded a plate there to hold it as they crack due to the weight of the door.

Thanks: 1 times
Weld a new plate of metal in like djjase says and counter sink the holes. This is a very common problem with the coupes and actually it's a pretty easy fix for someone that knows how to panel beat. There's a good exapmle of this repair on www.fordforums.
