Car has been sitting for 2 years. Took off the manifold and saw that oil has turned into thick sludge. It is a red v8. Is there a way of cleaning it all out without pulling the motor. Will all the bearings be safe if some sort of cleaner is used and are lifters hard to pull out and clean. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Byron Rich for all the advice. Guess theres no two ways about it. There are other jobs that need to be done with the motor out so I'll get into it.
