The 80's models Nissan Syklines and Pintaras used the 78 series diff. The Skylines had 3.7 and 3.9 ratio diffs and the Pintara had 4.11. Many Ford owners are using these gearsets out of Nissans so the 3.7 and 3.9 are quite rare but the 4.11 are still pret

Yes they are all available new. I have been using a secondhand pintara set in my Fairlane for almost a year now and with about 130rwkw I have had no problems with it.

Taz2,

Nissan Skylines and Pintaras used the Borg Warner / BTR 78 series diff which many Holdens and Fords also used. I don't know for sure what diffs VN/VP's use but if they are 78 series like the Fords of that era then the Nissan gears should fit.
