Is anyone able to tell me if a T700 will bolt up to a turbo patten 308, or do I need to buy an adaptor plate?

It will bolt straight up. TH pattern 308 blocks from HJ onwards are basically the same thing, right up to VSIII in 2000.

Yes that correct, I am currently doing the same, you need to have your tailshaft shortened, buy a painless wiring lock up kit for the converter, get a reco converter as the clutches are prone to burning out and there are newer types of materials being dev
