I have been offered a pair of ULP heads off a VL 308 black motor & wish to fit these to my HQ's red 308, is it possible to do so while retaining the original pre-pollution manifold??

Hi Kevin.
The heads will fit, but the manifold won't. Late model manifolds have a different bolt pattern.
You need a blue or black manifold.

Just buy a KC castings manifold. It's called a 253308 I think. It is a copy of the VK group III manifold, and will fit all pre VL (except Walkinshaw) heads. Or get a genuine HDT manifold. Or modify a blue/black one the same. The VH/VK group III HDT manifo
