Hi guys i want to jazz up the old 202 with a vk efi setup. Theres currently a kit on ebay but a friend tells me that the 202 efi's all had Automatic transmission. now i like to beable to change the gears and will not settle for an auto so i was wondering if any one knows if you can get the computer (ECU) reprogrammed for an aussie 4 speed or if theres some sort of inexpensive aftermarket computer i could get.

Go for it. The computer on the VK did nothing for the gearbox. So it don't matta!

yer the compyter is only analogue and wont notice wat is behind it! the only reason they wouldnt do a manual at the time as they reckoned the manual couldnt handle the torque!

Holden made at least 1 VK EFI - I've seen it. It must have been a special order though, as the EFI engine was officially only available as a trimatic. The one I saw was an M20.

i brought a VK CALAIS came out auto.. got f..kin sick and tired of stupid trimatic so i did sum research and bought a vh commy with a borg warner 5spd.. straight bolt over conversion but the pedal boxes are a bastard all u need to change is the tailshaft

dunno if your still checking this thread but the vk efi was engine only, and had no input from the trans..a manual will be fine behind it..no puter mods necessary
