I just bought a XY sedan. It has a 250 6 cyl and a coloumn auto in it.
How hard is it to put a 351 and manual trans in it ?
I have some other ford bits here.... all the stuff needed to do an auto --> manual conversion on a XC... will that stuff (pedal box, crossmembers etc) fit on a XY ?
If not, what exactly do I need?
I have the following XC parts already
V8 engine plate/mount things
V8 radiator
351 + single rail
Manual pedals
Hydraulic clutch setup
Tailshaft
Speedo cable etc etc
Heavy duty front/rear v8 springs..
Is any of this stuff of use ?

Well you can use the engine & box OK. along with your XY tailshaft. You may be able to fit the XC radiator but it may require some cutting of your support panel. You will have to get XR-XY engine mount plates (they are lower & bolt in differently) but the |
