Hi,For many years now my old XE hasn't had an odometer that works. While annoying, it's always passed rego and I haven't worried about it.
Now a family member is learning to drive and in the logbook you have to now put down the actual odometer reading and car's rego instead of just kms travelled.
Is it actually illegal to have an od. that doesn't work- ie can the RTA actually make you have a car w/a functioning meter? If so, why did they never care at rego inspections?
Is there a cheap DIY way to fix it on this model (XE Gl st wag)
Thanks in advance.
