Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the 6 and 5L digital dashes in a VK Calais.
The reason for my asking is that I'm about to fit a 5L into an EFI 6 VK Calais. I want to know how to get the tacho to suit the 8.
Does it need a different module, is there a switch to change the setting, or are they different units completely.

Yes there is a difference, not only in the tacho but also the trip computer fuel usage measuring.
They are different units, and I am yet to witness anyone successfully modifying one to suit the opposite engine.

I have heard many differing views on the subject. However everyone else's responses start with,"Ummm", or "I think".
It is good to find out from someone who actually knows.

i fitted a vk calais digital dash to my HQ kinga. geez what a pain in the ass. but i tell ya! it looks bloody orsm!
and i still dont have the trip comp, fuel usage or clock working properly. but hey its probably better off i didnt know
