We've just bought an XC GS Rally pack (presuming as it has the plate mounted on the front radiator support that says Rpack)with matching numbers etc, still has all the GS options fitted has a 4.1 crossflow in her with as I said numbers matching. She needs a fair bit of work, but the big Q is do we keep her original with matching numbers or drop a 351 in her? Gotta admit she is just a stepping stone for us, gotta start somewhere, but how much of a stepping stone do we make her? What were the options that the RPacks came out with? Any advice would be real handy and.

Welcome to the forum. Sedan or coupe? If you want to drop a V8 in the old girl go right ahead. Just keep the original engine and drive train bits in a corner. You can always undo it later if your have to.
XC GS should have sports dash, satin blac

Hey Paul, Thanks, It has all that you mentioned, just a sedan though, looking at coupes when we can afford one, used to own one but sold it, silly move, that was 8 years ago though!! Anyway, the only thing it is missing is the spotties, keeping an eye out Edited by user Monday, 16 July 2007 10:31:04 PM(UTC)

Bonnet pins were an XB thing. XC GS bonnet should be pinless. Hard to say what your car would be worth at the moment. The market is very volatile but with a predicted world recession looming, if that happens, expect prices to drop on everything except
