Hi there, can anyone tell me what is the correct method to check the oil levl in my v8 t700 vp commodore please, Is it in neutral engine running, in park engine running, engine off????

get it hot (worm) and have it on flat ground engine running in P or N and pull the stick out wipe it put in back in for 2 sec's pull it back out and it will have oil on it (you hope) thers a hot and cold mark on the stick so if its hot and the oil is on t

thanks, i was told by someone that the engine is run to normal operating temp and then switched off, oil level is then checked within 10 secs
hasanyone heard this one, anyone got a vn vp manual?

I think whoever told you that just wanted to see what sort of contartions they could get you to attempt in order to read the level within 10 seconds of shutting down the engine.
