Are these the same??
i am interested in hearing from people.

Before your shoot me down in flames, have a look at both pairs carefully!
i.e 7 mm Flute gap on HQ SS
10 mm Flute gap on HQ GTS.

you can get your pinky finger in a GTS, but not an SS (rough guide)

Go check it out. I have confirmed 5 HQ SSs so far...

Odd. 1974 parts catalogue lists the following:

FENDER ASSEMBLY - Sandman, SS, GTS - LH 2818635, RH 2818634.

Which is what I suspected. Otherwise why would Holden build brand new guards for the SS when they already had GTS guards for the Coupes? Same

I know, it doesnt add up.

And it sounds a bit wierd.

i would really like to hear from anyone with unrestored HQ SSs., or ones with 100% original front HQ SS guards.

A guy with 3 x HQ SSs pointed it out to me.
i am just interested to see if his

I just happen to have a HQ SS and a HQ GTS in the shed so I went out and checked them out.

All four guards are identical. Its looks more like a 5mm gap too.

The only discrepancy I did notice was that the middle flute on one of my GTS guards was wid

could be the tooling at each different factory might have MM differences....this wouldnt surprise me.
