I have a vq statesman, good working order and very straight. the other day i was in an accident involving the front end. I have been told that the front cross member has been bent and cannot be changed. I thought this was part of the k frame but I have heard different stories whether it is or not. Can any one help my dilema. I have been told my car is a write off due to the right headlight and corner light and front bumper needs replacing. Labour charges would be too great.
If any one has experience or knowledge about the front cross member I would appreciate it.

that would be the VN model if Im not wrong
AFAIK the K frame is similar thro the commy range
from VB to VS111 but could be wrong just similar
engine mount postion {bolt up in different way.
from the bottom on the V6}if a new one doesnt line
up yo |

I would guess that they are talking about the welded in cross member underneath the Radiator not the engine cross member. It can be changed & is virtually the same part from VB to at least VS. I have a VQ Statesman (SV90) and I hit a roo!!!! Yeah great! Anyway I got a headlight and a bonnet but I cant seem to find a grille anywhere. Can you or anyone else help?

SV90 grille is just a VQ stato grille with the centre insert colour coded.
As far as crossmembers, there's 2 things here:
Engine crossmember, aka "K-Frame" varies:
VB-VH manual steering
VB-VH power steering
VB-VH country pack with p/s
VB-VH co |
