I always put in too much lettuce and it falls out the sides - any tips on successful taco making please?

well salami,,put the lettuce in before you wire it to the coil? and connect the gauge light?? i find it always better reading the dial, if the lettuce is coated with mayo first, as this leaves previous reading of revs on taco dial?
