Hi guys, I have two EH holdens near identical to each other the only difference is that one of the sedans has a battery relocated in the boot . After a drive in this Eh their always smells to be a fume smell could it be because the battery is in the boot. Both cars are very well sealed and maintained . Any help much appreciated DO BATTERIES FUME ?

Yes they do, but not like you would smell exhaust fumes or blow-by etc,
Any battery mounted in a passenger compartment (this includes the boot), must be in a special battery box,,
My Skyrine has special battery that has a vent attached to it that is pip

You haven't mentioned what the fumes smell like... so I'll assume it could be fuel as well? Check your rubber sections of fuel line that go from the fuel filler to the tank. (Including breather hoses, etc.) I had a fuel smell in my Torana, turned out

Yep, check those fuell lines at the tank , the rubber ones, my girlfriend owns a SLR 5000, it never gets filled up fully ( droptank ) so we go on a long trip , fill it up 110 litres , and fuel absolutely pisses out everywhere like its raining petrol...ahh
