is a single rail box the same as a FMX ? and what does FMX stand for ? and are toploaders the strongest box in between a 400hp 351 and the 9' ?

No a single rail is a Borg Warner 4 speed manual box. It is referred to as a single rail due to it having only one shifter rail for all 5 gears (including reverse). You can actually see the back of the rail because it comes out of the back of the gearbox
