how do you tell if a XC GS is a GS is there anything on the ID tag?

easiest way is to ring 13FORD they should be able to let you know

i have an xc gs
its guaranteed a gs if its got the extra rally pack id plate on the radiator support panel(mine has this).
you can ring that number storm told you and they will verify it and even send you a verification letter with all options it left
