Hi guys,
how do you tell if a XC GS is a GS is there anything on the ID tag?

Nothing on the ID plates though some XCs have a small plate attached to the radiator support panel which I think might refer to a GS optioned car. The real info you require is on the build sheet that came with the car though 99% of these have been long l

Ring Ford and ask for an Old Vehicle Report,giving them the VIN and SIDO from the compliance plate.
There could also be a metal plate screwed to the grille side of the radiator support with R/PACK stamped on it,which means Rally Pack (GS).
