Hi all,

Have to get serious about fixing the aircon before summer rolls around. Anyway fixing the siezed compressor is not a problem (I hope), however currently I seem to have no air coming through the vents regardless of where the setting is on the control panel. I can get demisting to the screen but nothing through the vents. I understand these are vacuum controlled, but can anyone steer me to exactly where behind the dash the problem will be (so I know what I need to pull off!!)

Thanks

Peter

Could be any one of several places.
First thing to do, make sure you have vacuum supplied to the controls,,
Look for a small vacuum hose off the tree at the back of the manifold going into the firewall, make sure it is ok and there is vacuum available a

The air con switch on the dashboard also has a lot of vacuum hoses hanging off it make sure they are not perished or cracked or blocked.

To test the vacuum operators under the dash are OK just suck on the hose and then fold it over to seal it. If the door open and holds after the pipe is sealed its OK. If it closes then you need new (hard to get) operators.
