Hi there.... Need some advice on which way to mount an alternator to my 1969 307 engine..... its got a cracked lower bolt hole mount , so i need to mount it up top( Driver side ), i have seen some chrome brackets, but when i look at the pictures it looks like its on a long water pump, mine is a short one, and doesnt have adequate bolt holes in it to mount such brackets ? Are there two types / sizes of top mount alt brackets? Or have i got to run a long wtr pump for this type of mount...? Its going in a HG Panno :) Thank you.. Anthony

307s have the Alternator mounted on the passenger side above the engine, using holes in exhaust and inlet manifold, with short water pump. 350 engines mount on driver's side using bolt holes in inlet manifold and have long neck water pump.
