i have a HQ wagon with a 202 and 4sp M21 box, im wanting to replace motor and box with an injected 308 and T5. Has anyone done this before and if so what things could i have problems with?

It's been done plenty of times, and it's a very easy conversion. When I get time i'll cut and paste all the descriptions of how to do it. It'll be an M20 or M22 box in your wagon too, it is very unlikely to be an M21.

Its been done plenty of times, and its a very easy conversion. When I get time ill cut and paste all the descriptions of how to do it. Itll be an M20 or M22 box in your wagon too, it is very unlikely to be an M21.

There are 4 different M21 boxes. They all share the same physical 3rd gear. The bottom 3 examples are extremely rare:

The standard one normally found behind 308 engines, but occasionally turn up on 253s (eg VH SS group 1);

LH SLR5000 L34 box;

sorry guys it is a M20 box - was going to put in the M21 but when i realised it was for V8 i changed what i was doing - mind you still better than the M15 it came with. yes it was born a belmont but now has power windows all round and soon to get a states
