hiya all

i have just removed a nice 308 and aussie 4 speed from an HZ ute to transplant into my HQ ute

can i use the hz pedals etc and just fit them to the hq, or is there an interchangability problem ? what do i do to remove these parts, remember, i have worked on motorcycles all my life, not cars

any specific measurements for the clutch cable hole ?

any tips, shortcuts or mods i should know about ?

thanx in advance, johnny

yes sonny, its an HQ ute

the pedals should swap straight over
there the same chassis
at the top of the column under the dash there is a pin and some bolts to remove..just swap them over.measure the hole for the clutch cable from the other car
....you,ll be fine

Depends upon whether its a 1/2 cable or full cable. If its a full cable make sure the pedal is in the bottom hole in the HZ and the pedals line up ie the clutch and brake pedals are at the same height. Otherwise it wont work properly in a HQ.
