GU5 is the 3.23:1 borg-warner diff fitted from 1985. It should have a flat, round flange on the front, instead of the traditional uni-joint yoke as used on banjos & salisburys.

You may need to inform potential buyers that they will need the tailshaft
Cheers,

Mick

Mick, came across a diff in a mate shed with an early 85 date code on it looked like salisbury but had the flange instead of the yoke do the b/w have the tin hat on the back or are they a banjo?

Borg-warners are a rear-load like a salisbury, and they have a tin cover plate on the back that is roughly octagonal in shape.

It will fit a VP but will be 2 inches narrower than a VP diff.

However, it will not fit the wagon, as the shock mounts are vastly different.
Then there's also the handbrake cable issue, as VP are upside down compared to VK.

If you want to risk turn
