Thinking about upgrading my carby and mech fuel pump in my hz 308, the motor has had ur usual work (prepol heads cam edelbrock manifold exhaust, extractors and worked t700 auto) i was just wondering what would be the best choice for a barry grant carby, and what electric fuel pumps are the better choices, no i am not getting a holley !!! thanks :)

A well set up rochester Q/jet is your best bet. These are a top carb when setup correctly.

600 - 650 Holley is the go..!!!
BG carbs are overpriced and a complete ****..!! Only made to look good on show cars..
Go to the US and see how many people buy BG. Not many racers that i have seen. Seems they are pushing the market here now. Mr Barry

Yes the quadrajet (set up just right) is the best choice, sometimes the factory gets it right, its an economical carby when you want it to be (ie on light throttle), but the CFM is there if you want to give it a tickle.
