I have available a pair of early rocker covers (no holes on top) and a sump to suit an early 253. The sump is OK, just a 'soft' dent from the engine sitting on it's sump.
Also I know where I can get an early 253 engine block with all internals (engine number 253H31537), only catch is it's at a country tip in southern NSW!! But I'm happy to assist someone to grab it if they want it!! Would suit an original car as the number would be the correct era. Please email [email protected] to discuss further.
Cheers
Peter

Of course I should have made the title HT HG 253, as HKs didn't have the 253!! Oh well.... :)

Hi Peter.
Would you have the oil filler tube & cap from the HT/HG 253.
I'm restoring an HG Premier V8, but the tube & cap are both damaged, the alloy cover is OK though.
Hoping you can help.
Dr Terry.

Hi Dr Terry,
I don't have them, but I saw them on the 253 at the tip (I should have taken them off!). I think it had a subtle bend, it seemed to have a bit more tilt than I remember they used to have. Possibly damaged when they chucked it out of t
