im looking for some help regarding dropping an injected 5 litre into my hq prem. ive worked out most of the issues but want to keep the car column shift.i was wondering if the th700 can be made with my original linkages or if i need to find a setup from another kingswood with a t400 column. if this isnt possible is there another way to do it?

Turbo 400 column set up from STatesman HJ - HZ mostly would go very close i would think.

What about replacing the linkage, relay, crossover shaft, etc with a push pull cable.
From memory,some HZ-WB' with T bar used a cable, rather than the usual rod. So it may be possible. Either way, I'm interested, as will be replacing the TH 400 with a

Some of the Holden Utes and Wagons came out with TH700 and column shift. Have a look at them and see if that sytem can be fitted to the HQ.

Id just use the factory HQ-HZ TH400 column shift setup and adapt to the TH700. There is also a site around where a guy did it. Ill see if I can find the link. The other way to do it would be to keep the TH400 and fit a 2.6:1 diff. The Th400 is heaps stro |

Hi I have this set up in my WB ute. I used a linkage off a HZ ambulance (came factory with TH700) Cheers Leigh
