Hi all, I have a 1976 HX Monaro with an HZ power steering set up on it. It was originally a manual steer car but I have recently put power steering on it. I have just bought the short type steering arms to replace my long steering arms as the steering was way too light. Anyway, I have free play in the steering wheel, not too much but about 1 inch worth of play. I understand there is no adjustment in the power steer boxes and want to eliminate all free play. All front end steering components are new so it aint the tie rods etc. Can someone help me with a good place to get an recond box at in Adelaide, preferably, but will consider interstate if they are willing to post. Any advice?
Cheers, Trent (Adelaide) |

Hi Trent, I got an exchange power steering box for my HQ from Coventrys in WA. They get them through Australian Power Steering. http://www.australianpowersteering.com.au/
It was only about $220 and makes all the difference. Mine is a lot heavier
