hey all, i just got back from a drive to canberra and the old ford sems to be having this problem. the problem is whislt im driving there seems to be a grabbing or locking in the rear.this also seems to happen going up or down a hill and when braking. It didn't happen constantly but when it did it gave quite a thud. im not much on cars but it seems like it could have something to do with either the transmission(as i noticed once this started happining some of the gears were getting stuck) or its the diff maybe locking.
Any help would be great,the cars a 90 ea ford sedan.
Does this sound like a really costly issue?
