I was after a boot floor for a LH/LX as I am trying to restore my L34 back to factory. It seems Rare Spares aren't interested unless there is a demand for it. English translation is for them to make a quick buck.

Hi Guys.
I think that's a bit harsh lhsl ! It does cost money to make the mould to make a floor panel and it they will lose money unless they can sell enough units a amotise (pay for) their costs. There are no 'quick bucks' in making repro parts.

Thanks Dr Terry I could not have put it better, most repro parts are long term and a return will take years. Tooling is expensive and this does have to be considered when making a part. We do release about 5 new parts a week on average and at any onetime

Apologies if I was harsh but I just want to understand the economics of repro parts. How much does a mould cost for a floor? Let me assume it costs approx 5,000 to make a repro boot floor. Say Rare Spares offers them for a reasoable cost of around $350 th
