hi guys,

how much would you expect a bare metal respray 2pack to cost with minor dents to be fixed?

Car in question, 63 EJ Special Wagon. No rust work needed, exterior, engine bay (inc engine), interior.

Thanks in advance.

At our work a bare metal restoration costs between $15K and $50K depending on whether people want a concours job and want to win the trophies.

Be careful about saying "no rust work" There is almost always rust, and any you can see on the surface is whe

More info lol. Dont use acrillic laquer as undercoat then 2k top coat. This can be done if left for awhile but stone chips will be a curse as they dont bind together as good as 2k to 2k.

A job like ive explained will last 15-20yrs with no problem.

etch primer is for bare metal to protect it before undercoat
from memory you have to paint over it soon
if you dont go bare metal under coat or primer as some call it is all you need

PPG is one of the most expensive. but it lasts.
Prices are nz :(. I guess bigger cities have more competition.

Ive never used etch primer, ive only used primer filler straight over the
metal with no problems at all.

Remember that metal starts rus
