HI All

I have an HQ 202 which is using the later type mechanical fuel pump without the glass bowl.
She has suddenly started leaking fuel really badly from around the pump . I have checked and changed the rubber hoses to and from the pump but this has not stopped the leak.

Can anyone tell me what might be causing this and what the best fix is

Thanx in advance

Steve

Sounds like th diaphragm inside the pump has died. Replace the pump asap, unless you can get a repair kit. I would just replace the pump.

easy enough to replace the diaphragm, the new pumps if you can get one would most likely be a lot more expensive and be none repairable.
also be aware that if the diaphragm has split more likely than not you have fuel into the sump contaminating the oil,
