Hi Guys
Just thought I would run this by you. I began to pull my fuel pump down today. On my car, part of the original steel fuel line has been replaced by a rubber one which fits into a nozzle about 2cm long on the inlet side of the pump. I pulled on this nozzle and it fell straight out of the pump. Ah that will be the source of the leak then!
I have replaced and re-sealed the nozzle with sealing compound and now have a tight fit and all is fine. My memory of how they came from the factory is that the fuel lines screwed together. Question is, is this a normal set up for the later non-glass bowl- type pumps,or is this a dodgy past repair. I ask because I dont want fuel spilling out all over the place again.
Thanks for any tips
Steve
