Hi Folks. I need to remove my steering ram as it started to haemorage when the new motor was started. It's really awkward to get at the mounting point as the sump is in the way. Are there any tricks to getting this out?

I'm guessing this is an XY? If so it's all foreign territory to me. I'm more XA to XC. Hopefully someone here can steer you ( no pun intended ) in the right direction.

Yes it's on my ZD Fairane (i probably should have specified a model when i started). I've had a look on ebay and spotted a ball joint puller that works on leverage that should do the job so i'll see what i can get it for. Cheers
