Hi, Just like to know what I am doing wrong. I have put new bearings on my pinion shaft and have replaced the collapsable spacer with a new one purchased from Holden. I am trying to tighten the yoke nut but I cannot seem to be able to tighten it any more and that is with the yoke clamped sort of tight to the bench. It did have a tendency to slip out but that is only because I was putting a lot of force on it with out the nut moving any more. I cannot seem to be able to tighten it any more and yet the collapsable spacer does not seem to have begin start collapsing because I still have a small amount of end float, no preload. Is there a recommended way to hold the yoke and is it normall to have to put a lot of force on the nut to start the sleeve collapsing or have I been supplied the wrong spacer. There is still enough room for the bearing to move and crush the spacer before it bottoms out on the shoulder on the pinion. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Lee
