Two core shielded cable... Byron or anyone.

Just started to transfer the wiring harness over to the WB fron the VK EFI and the clip for the Tempriture sender was missing. I have a new clip to fit but the two core shielded cable has the external wire around the two inner cores, is this wire wired into the clip as well and if so I assume its to the negitive side, or is it just trimed. Thanks for the help.

hey witches,,
I have no idea about vk efi, but in all satelites and radio equipment, the outer sheild is to stop all electrical outside interference, and is always wired to earth?
hope this helps, but not sure with cars,?
