Had a good mate phone last night... He's found a light blue kingswood he thinks is a factory fitted 350 & 4 speed. The car is rough but original...full instrumentation...no flutes in gaurds

Their theory is it was a ex South Australian Police car. Lots of holes in the dash metal work...

Has anyone ever seen or heard of such a thing?

What would it worth if it's a factory car?

I hoping to have some photos shortly and will post them for opinions.

Regards

Warren told me years ago that he had found a few 350 Kingswoods that were pre-XW8 option (GTS 350 4 door). If you send me the VIN I can find out for you what running gear it had.

Every 350 Kingswood and Premier found was auto, only GTS sedan and coupe had manual option.

Now if this car is an early HQ GTS 4 door it may have been incorrectly identified as a Kingswood sedan, as the body number and VIn would indicate this.

Thanks for that...

Been trying to get a look at this Kingswood, but the bloke works away in the mines 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. So I should get a look next week and yes Warren it is an auto not an M4.

While doing some research on this car I got a lead

As Warren said, all GTS 4-doors are Kingswoods. Just the GTS was an option package like a Sandman, XU-1, L34, A9X etc etc. This was different to the coupes which were a unique model (in GTS anyway). So check the trim suffix and the build date.
