Hi I know you guys in Au have thrid party insurance in your registration. which pays people if they get hurt in an accident. Back in 1987 the cost of rego was 250 for a 4cyl and 320 for 6cyl and a V8 at that time was $420 this included the third party insurance at that time. Back here in NZ the car rego costs approx 206$nz for a car and 220nz for a motor bike above 125cc. Our power bill for 1month is around $200 and we use alternative heating of log burner. With 4adults and 1 child in the house. Our phone bill is around 40$nz and is not limited to how many local calls we can make its all included in the price. To recap Rego any car $206nz not Diesal Power per month $200nz Phone bill permonth $40nz petrol per litre $1.70nz Milk medow fresh $3.50 for 2 litres. In Oz the different states have different rego & insurance methods.
For NSW, the average car rego is $260, but this goes up to $350 odd for cars over 1500kg (or 1600 maybe??)
The insurance component - the green slip, varies from the low $300 region up |
