Folks,

I have a GTS/4 HJ Monaro, which I have just managed to obtain correct front spoiler for. I line it up on the twin-headlight front (I know it's wrong - but bear with me).

The vents in the spolier very much dont line up with anything on the nose cone. Looking at the few single light HJ fronts around, their vents dont look as if they will line up on anything either (being small in length, and tall in height, rather than a low rectangle.

Is there a specific GTS nosecone to attach the spolier to, does the single light one cut back sharper to clear the vent, or does it blank off anyway.

If someone can indicate / put up a picture of the GTS nosecone vents (under the bumper / behind the spoiler) I will be able to make the call on cutting into the existing cone, going for a single cone, or some combination therein.

cheers

j

to get them to line up you cut a square hole on each side of the lower apron...thats pretty much what holden did..

Thanks to Jason, I now have the holes in reasonably correct places in the nose of the HJ for the factory style spoiler. (Local fiberglass manufacture with moulds taken from original item).

Having made the holes and trial fitting the spoiler, I notice

OK, next.

Managed to get the bolts in (big hammer, pry bar, sockets and sweat).

Trial fitting the spoiler, I have had to pack the front corners to prevent the edges hanging past the wheel arch edges.

Is this normal, natural?

Should I try beati

Opinions, ideas, comments please?

im wondering if you have a aftermarket spoiler? maybe its not real spot on to origs? as all that i have fitted just bolted on easily... no overhang. maybe your nosecone is damaged? just a bit strange that its not fitting......

I think the nosecone is not original (twin headlight, no cutouts, etc).

On the members rides area, sandman77 has given me a wee clue as to a way forward.

I think I will go with grinding and trimming to get the length right with the spoiler hard ag
