just got picked up in my green hq ute by the heat for
1 failing to display current rego sticker
2 displaying an expired rego sticker
they were courteous, even friendly, checked it was registered and suggested i finish what i was doing and go home and fit the rego
hats off to the blokes on the sunshine coast, no ticket for me and good PR for them. i wished them a happy new year, meant it too

Got pulled up in Brisbane last month doing 110 in a 60 zone (roadworks - didn't see the signs!)
Top chick, she let me off with a $150 fine for 100 in an 80 zone instead. Said she thought I was a nice enough bloke. (may have been the bulge in the pants!

Qld seems to be pulling a lot of people up for warnings, daughter go pulled up for displaying out of date label, waiting for current label inpost, breath tested etc. No fine just pulling over heaps of people to show presence I think,

i got done out the front of work, for not wearing a seatbelt, even though i had it on! i had a black tshirt with a black lapsash seatbelt in my HQ. the cops who pulled me over were more than 20m away when they said they saw me....
i took them to court
