Your best bet on the manifold front at this stage is the Edelbrock Air gap Performer .It will leave you with some scope for further modification down the road unlike the performer which is pretty much an alloy version of the ford manifold.

I bought an edelbrock performer air gap for my 351 in a ZH. It is dual plane and ahas the air gap (hence the name) between the intake runners and the valley. I think it cost me about $600 and does work well with my mild straight gas engine. Torkers and X

Keep an eye out on ebay for manifolds. They pop up there from time to time at reasonable prices. Got my Holley Street Dominator manifold off ebay for bugger all and it was virtually brand new. Edited by user Tuesday, 15 January 2008 7:52:34 AM(UTC)

Ah yes, the old Holley street dominator, a very nice 2v manifold indeed?

ok guys I just got my hands on an edelbrock performa manifold and a 650 holley vac sec, was told that the carb worked fine so I think I'll just put them on as is. Wish me luck.... Edited by user Friday, 25 January 2008 7:37:50 AM(UTC)
