I looked at a bog stock 73 HQ Kingswood 3 on the tree with 173, speedo in MPH, paint is very thin but straight as a digh no dents and a very little rust and i do mean very little, interier perfect cond, bench seat in light tan ? How much is it werth $$? And he bought it new in 73

My guess here would be $6200nz-7500 although some people here are trying to sell theres for 15000 which makes it harder to judge.

Hi Guys.
Based on Sydney prices, I think that is a bit expensive for a base model Kingswood 173 column shift that needs paint. If it had a few options or if it was a Premier it would be a different story.

I agree with Dr Terry.... $3000 tops...... even though its 1 owner unless its very low kilometres there wont be much call for it...

we had a one family owned HQ kingy 6cyl manual with drum brakes in our club with average paint it sold about a year ago for $2500.

1 owner Statesman sold at auction for $2400, it was not mint but resonably original 253 auto, P/S, A/C, with books & mid range miles. But on the otherhand how many bog stock HQ's are left in unmolested condition, other than mine..lol

I see a few HQ-WB's crushed each week next door at the recyclers, and most of them are complete and unsmashed. Maybe they have a totally worn out drivetrain, interior that is unuseable, but the bodies look reasonable from a hundred metres away. They seem |
